RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and understand job documents including RFP’s, Prequalification’s, construction specifications, and project plans
- Develop successful bid strategies
- Respond to technical questions within tender submissions
- Prepare cost estimates for labour, equipment, and materials
- Be accountable/responsible for all aspects of a project from award to closeout
- Implement project procedures, project control systems, and project execution plans
- Manage and report on project budgets, schedules, and resource plans
- Provide management support and oversight to subcontractors, project safety and quality, risk mitigation, and procurement of all necessary items under the project scope including subcontractors, consultants, and material
- Recommend cost saving strategies when appropriate
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers
- Serve as primary point of contact with client
- Collaborate with team members for the execution of construction activities
- Ensure deliverables are provided to client’s satisfaction
- Promote positive working relationships with internal project team including site supervisors and subcontractors
- Manage compliance with contract documents
REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of post-secondary education in Project Management, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or other related discipline
- Hydro One experiences an asset
- Knowledgeable of powerline construction methods
- Powerline Technician (434A) ticket a strong asset
- Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Valid Driver’s License
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist team with estimates, schedules, procurement, change orders
- Prepare and update all project documentation including work progress, changes in scope, issues, progress billings
- Coordinate project requirements, including paid duties, permits, locates, etc.
- Creation and maintenance of electronic filing system
- Track client deliverables and deadlines, ensuring submissions meet requirements

REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of post-secondary education in Project Management,
- Engineering, or related field
- Experience in construction industry an asset
- Experience with Microsoft Project an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

An Office Assistant is tasked with administrative and clerical duties in an organization, such as preparing documentation, organizing meetings, and managing organizational documentation. An Office Assistant may be required to answer phones and greet clients, assist in document filing, organize office activities, and mail correspondence. RESPONSIBILITIES

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform activities related to the construction and maintaining electric power systems and for restoring electric service to commercial, industrial, agricultural, and residential customers.
- Recognize, assess and control potentially hazardous situations in the work environment.
- Load and unload tools, materials, and supplies into and out of vehicles at crew headquarters and job site.
- Work will include the use of hand and power tools; digging holes by hand for pole installation; climbing ladders, embankments, working at heights above 35’ on poles and in aerial lifts; setting grounds; working with live circuits; and working in trenches, manholes and confined spaces.
- Set and install underground structures, locate, pull, remove, underground cables.
- Operate hydraulic equipment including drills, boom truck, digger, pole tamper, hydraulic jack and once certified.
- Operates equipment such as Backhoe, skid steer, Mini- excavator, forklift, once certified.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections.
- Erect and maintain steel, wood or concrete poles, towers, and guy wires
- Read and interpret blueprints or process specifications
- Respond to unscheduled outages as the result of weather, component failures, etc.
- Be a positive team member through open communication and active participation in crew tasks

- Valid DZ Driver’s License or higher
- Install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain electrical distribution systems including overhead and underground powerlines and cables, insulators, conductors, lightning arrestors, switches, transformers, etc.
- Perform line maintenance safely utilizing de-energized, rubber glove, live line hot stick, or live line bare hand techniques
- Safely operate utility equipment including RBD’s, bucket trucks, etc.
- Ability to climb, work at heights, and in adverse weather conditions
- Ability to lead and mentor apprentices, interpret drawings, plan projects, and solve problems
- Valid DZ Driver’s License or higher
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a construction environment
- Assist in construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical distribution systems
- Assist with line maintenance safely utilizing de-energized, rubber glove, live line hot stick, or live line bare hand techniques
- Safely operate utility equipment including RBD’s, bucket trucks, etc.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools
- Ability to climb, work at heights, and in adverse weather conditions
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
